The Opportunity:
Our client – global investment management company, is looking for a Junior Macro Economist to join its team in Vilnius.
The company has a proven track record of delivering consistent performance for over 15 years in a strategy focused on utilities, industrials, commodities, and infrastructure globally. Company has offices in Cayman Islands, London, New York, and Gibraltar.
The firm is a global financial and economic research provider, catering to a range of asset management institutions including hedge funds, mutual funds, private equity funds, etc. The team of highly experienced professionals have been accoladed multiple times as the best in the field. The organizational structure of the firm is relatively flat, which means that talents are recognized early and rigorous work ethic translates into actual investment decision making. This is the only opportunity in the Baltic states to get exposure to financial markets and asset management in a way that it is done in the City and Wall Street.
Our expectations for the candidate:
- Degree in Economics, Econometrics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (might be a final year student or planning to combine MA studies with work);
- Prior work experience or internship in the field of economic analysis;
- Excellent knowledge of English, oral and written;
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel in particular;
- Results oriented with can-do attitude.
Tasks and responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze the economic situation, development trends and prospects of devoted economic areas;
- Contribute to the preparation of macroeconomic forecasts;
- Prepare analytical insights, generate reports, present and discuss it with the Financial Analysts and/ or Investor Relations team.
