The Lithuanian National Trotting League is the leading organization for trotting racing in Lithuania. We bring together passionate athletes, dedicated fans, and vibrant communities to celebrate the tradition and excitement of trotting. Our mission is to grow the sport by increasing public awareness, building a stronger fan base, and sharing inspiring stories from the track.
About the Role:
We are looking for a creative and motivated Communications Intern to support our social media and public relations efforts. If you’re passionate about storytelling, enjoy working with digital content, and want to be part of a dynamic sports environment, this internship is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Management:
- Manage and create content for Facebook and Instagram
- Post regular updates about race events, behind-the-scenes moments, and athlete highlights
- Monitor engagement and respond to comments/messages
Public Relations:
- Write and distribute short articles and news updates about races and league activities
- Assist in preparing press releases and media materials
Community Growth:
- Develop strategies to grow followers and increase online engagement
- Suggest creative campaign ideas to boost visibility and audience retention
Requirements:
- Strong written communication skills (in Lithuanian and/or English)
- Interest in social media trends and sports communications
- Familiarity with Facebook and Instagram
- Basic knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, or other design tools is a plus
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
